Amanda J. Brashear, DNP, RN-BC
Amanda is a Bloomington native who teaches at Indiana University School of Nursing on the Bloomington campus. Amanda began her nursing career working in the inpatient hospital setting in 2003. Her area of expertise is medical/surgical nursing, and she is board certified in this area She has experience caring for patients in orthopedic, neurologic, peripheral vascular, renal, and step-down settings. Additional areas of bedside nursing include working in the south-central region resource team at IU Health Bloomington Hospital and agency nursing, Amanda teaches in the undergraduate nursing program, including clinical experiences on medical/surgical units.
Married to her high school sweetheart and mother of three, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, including their dog, Lucy. She enjoys spending time outdoors, roller skating, baking cookies, and having movie nights.
